Le Tracce Series takes its inspiration from the traditional chiselling techniques used in decorative carvings on a Venetian gondola. By striking the surface with a burin, artisans concealed the marks of their tools while creating a background alive with movement and texture. The same technique can be found in embellishing architectural elements throughout Venice. Reinterpreted here in oak, maple or ashwood, the technique enhances the natural grain of each wood.
